Here's the view of our house from the street. It looks alarmingly like a "snout house", which is a house whose garage dominates the front view. The only thing saving it, if it is indeed saved, is that there's a fence across the front, even with the garage, with two gates, one of which is effectively the front door of the house, and the yard is effectively part of the house, due to the architecture blurring the distinction between inside and outside, as you will learn later in the tour.
