This is the view to the southwest from the back yard, near the house. This shows more of how private the back yard is. Also note the power and phone lines. It's quite a squirrel freeway. I glanced up as I was typing this paragraph and, sure enough, there went one of the gray squirrels. We also have some black squirrels that visit us frequently. For those of you who aren't familiar with black squirrels, my understanding is that they first appeared near the Stanford Linear Accelerator, along with a species of six-foot spiders, and some giant lizards and turtles that they relocated to Japan.
